No, we do not use white ink. Our printer does not have a white ink reservoir. Please keep this in mind when designing your artwork and also when selecting your cover material for the notebook. The smooth and textured cardboard are naturally white in color. The kraft cardboard is a light brown color, so this cover material should not be selected.

Pen loops can be placed along the top edge of the journal. Note that the Medio size journals’ width is less than the height of the pens so there the pens will stick out when placed in this position. We do not recommend placing it at the top, even on the Magna journal, because the pen loop will be unbalanced and the plunger will be sticking out past the journal spine. The only Scribl standard journal size that can offer the pen loop at the top edge is the Mighty (at 1/3 position)..

Yes, we can make bundles of up to 3 journals. Note that bundling is not recommended with the Journal + Pen combo since the pens are thicker than the journals (for Centre Sewn) which results in an awkward stacked look.

For the Centre Sewn journal, the tip-in page can be placed as the outer wrap (first and last pages) or as a centre-spread. For the Perfect Bound, the tip in pages can be placed at the beginning, ¼ way in, middle, ¾ way in and at the end.

Perfect Bound journals can have as many tip-in pages as needed. For the centre sewn, we can have up to 3 tip-in page spreads; if the client will need more tip in pages, we will be forced to start removing inner line printed sheets to substitute the tip-in pages.

Variable graphics will be treated as separate journals. Since there is no setup charges for the standard Scribl, the client can send us multiple cover arts and specify the quantity of each they require. Note that the minimum quantity for each cover art needs to respect the Scribl MOQs.

However, due to the production process involved in creating our Gloss, Matte and Soft Touch cover options, these covers cannot be recycled; so please remove the laminated covers prior to tossing it into the recycling bin!

All of the paper used for the inside pages and covers for the Scribl books are made from FSC certified materials. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification means that the wood harvested comes from a forest and supply chain that is responsibly managed and is environmentally conscious.
